| Our Service Montclair Home Shopping
Montclair Home Shopping service will deliver your weekly shopping to you in your home. This service is provided for people with Community Care needs who are unable to go shopping themselves.
This is one of a number of ‘Care at Home’ services offered by Oxfordshire County Council. The service is provided by a dedicated Home Shopping Team working in a partnership with Budgens.
Your individual shopping order will be handpicked, packed and delivered direct to your door.
We will help you to unpack and store the goods in your freezer/fridge and cupboards.
How do I get the Home Shopping Service?
The first step to getting this service is to contact the Access Team at Social Community Services (Tel: 0845 0507666).
Who will supply my shopping?
Budgens stores have been chosen because they offer a wide range of goods at competitive prices. They have also shown an interest in local communities and welcomed the opportunity to serve the community in this way.
What about Montclair home Shopping?
We work in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council to provide this service. All drivers have been screened and check and wear Montclair uniforms.
If you use the service regularly you will soon get to know what a helpful and friendly bunch they are.
How often is my shopping delivered?
Your shopping will be delivered to you once a week at home at a time and day we will arrange with you.
How do I place an order?
You will be given a printed catalogue. You will then be called two days before your pre-arranged delivery date to see if you require any shopping that week or you can ring us or your carer.
The goods are listed under a number of product groups such as ‘Fresh Fruit’, ‘Bread’, and ‘Fresh Meat & Dairy’ and so on. Just select as many items as you wish from the catalogue under each product group. Then let us know the item number, quantity, what size and the brand of your choice.
On the day of delivery your goods will be picked and packed, ready to be delivered to you.
What do I do when my shopping is delivered?
Our driver will arrive at your door. He or she will have identification for you to check.
The driver will bring the shopping into your home and check with you that you have received all the products on the till receipt.
They will ask you to sign a delivery note as proof of receipt.
Where assistance is needed, they will help you to unpack your shopping and store it in your freezer/fridge and cupboards.
How do I pay for my shopping?
Payment is made to our driver on receipt of the goods. You may pay by cash or cheque or debit card.
We can even arrange cashback for you.
